...am/is/are going to... (voy, vas, va vamos, vais, van a...) se usa para expresar una intención:

- I´m going to buy something tomorrow. 
Voy a comprar...

Se usa también cuando algo parece evidente que va a suceder:

- It´s going to rain.
- I´m going to be late.

También se puede usar el Present Continuous para hablar del futuro, expresando planes fijos.

- I am playing tennis with Tom next Monday.
